I AM still alive, contrary to the dead nature of my LiveJournal. Quick recap, I suppose?

Started school again in the fall. Fall quarter was just weird. I'm now officially Imaging Science rather than the undeclared science bit. But that meant that suddenly I didn't have classes with ANY of the friends I had made last year. Which kind of sucked, not going to lie. Especially the first week or two before I got to know the imaging sci kids. I mean, Andrew and I only saw each other because we made it a point to**. I didn't see Chantal or Petey or Connie at all. So that was rough. But when you've got pretty much the same schedule as a group of people, you make friends. And with a program as small as ours, you DEFINITELY make friends. So that's good, now that I'm in with those guys. Grade-wise I really sucked last quarter, so that's going to be something I can't do this time around. I started working in the Dean's Office, which is kind of fun. I get to meet all the big whigs in the College of Science and they all know my name. Plus, Catherine (one of the Assistant Deans) and Sue (Student Services) are pretty much two of the coolest women I've ever met, and we have loads of fun. And spend way too much time gossiping, but I'm not complaining.
And then the end of the quarter rolled around, and I showed up early for one of our imaging exams, and so did Jon. So when we were both done (15 minutes later, lol) we went and got food. And then met up with Ally and Mark. And then Mark left, and Ally and Jon and I wandered around the bookstore for a long time. And then, apparently, Ally tried very hard to get me and Jon to be at the hockey game together that night, but a.) nobody had my cell number and b.) I was working. So, Jon was a fifth wheel, and then he found out that Ally and his roommate's girlfriend (they are friends from high school) were trying to hook us up. And then I suggested something for the imaging kids to do before exams started in earnest, and somehow or another Jon and I ended up going bowling by ourselves. And then hanging out the next day, and then the day after that...and then it was break and we talked over Facebook like crazy...When we got back from break, his friends said something to Catherine, and then she was trying to get us together, and it was just crazy. But I'm so incredibly happy right now that I don't even know what else to say. He's sweet and funny and really good to me, and I'm just *happy* (Of course, now he's back in Maine for break and I miss him like crazy, but yeah). And I know that was a paragraph of total gush, but I couldn't help it. (If you can stand it, ask me about the old people at Ruby Tuesdays...I won't inflict it now, but it's a good story).
So this quarter got off to a great start. I made the show at school, and I even have a small part which is fun. It's an insane rehearsal schedule, but whatever. COSSAB pulled off a wicked awesome Winter Gala, and I totally helped put together a balloon arch. Definitely adding that to my resume. Christmas was good, even though it didn't quite *feel* like Christmas. It's been that way the last couple of years, though. My aunt made me a Josh Groban pillowcase...:-) So, that's pretty much my life the last 4 months in rapid recap. I've got stuff to do, and gifts to finish. Night!

**One of these occasions being when we went to Pittsburgh to see Laura!!! And grand fun was had by all!!! Hardly any disawesomeness!!

Has anyone seen the promos and stuff for the "Tin Man" miniseries that Sci-Fi channel is doing? It looks really really cool. Just sayin'.

If J.K. Rowling can admit that Dumbledore was gay (and in love with Grindelwald, of all people) then why the hell won't she acknowledge Slupin?

You can't have Monopoly with an ATM.

It's just not right.

Where's the fun in that?

How can you embezzle funds as the banker if there is no banker?!

I love it when my hard drive explodes.

And I lose everything.

And then have to spend $150 on a new hard disk. On top of books. On top of gas.

I'm kind of done fronting people money for awhile.

Fantastic.

RIP Betsy...you were a good computer, until you weren't.

Andy Fallows: Strikes me as too shy to be compatible with you, anyway. I mean, opposites attract, and all that, but not having the cojones to even meet a girl...that's weaksauce
Erin Schmidtmann: Wow. That was a pretty fantastic way to put it, lol
Andy Fallows: How so?
Erin Schmidtmann: Well, the use of 'cojones' and 'weaksauce' in the same sentence is just fantastic
10:55 PM
Andy Fallows: Ah. Right
Andy Fallows: Glad to be of service
Erin Schmidtmann: Aren't you always?
Andy Fallows: Well it's more fun when I get compliments
Erin Schmidtmann: Oh, right.
Erin Schmidtmann: I'll throw 'em your way more often
Andy Fallows: haha - my first thought was "Okay, and I'll throw 'cojones' your way more often in return."
Erin Schmidtmann: Hahahahahaha
Erin Schmidtmann: I think that deserves some kind of documentation, don't you?
Andy Fallows: Oh, surely it does
